Our Garden

This is my first attempt at gardening. I'd have to say, up until now I have always had a brown thumb. My husband Robert built a garden box and a hinged greenhouse covering, he's very handy to have around. We have three different varieties of tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, broccoli, and brussel sprouts. I don't agree with putting pesticides on my food and we had a little problem with cutworms, but it's turning out pretty good. I can't wait to start eating from the garden! It feels great to know we are teaching our daughter how to grow her own food and save money at the same time.

Hello and Welcome!

I'm excited to start off with a great big hello and welcome. Let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm am married to my best friend, my husband Robert is my rock. We've been married for 8 years and I love him more everyday! I have a beautiful, smart, big hearted little girl named Jessie. Ok, she's not so little anymore...she's 7 and growing fast! We live off of a small income but have a lot. I've learned to cook from scratch, sew a bit, shop using as many discounts as possible, coupon to stockpile groceries, photograph the beauty around me for art, make minor home repairs, and am now trying out gardening. These are a few things I'll be sharing with you.
I am learning as I go so please excuse any mistakes you might encounter at first!
